Needs of the Community:

  • Lack of capacity building and resilience among vulnerable groups in Tanay, who often experience heavy flooding and were resettled from Manila’s slums
  • Lack of involvement of vulnerable groups, including persons with disabilities, women’s groups, indigenous groups, and children’s groups, in the vulnerability assessment to understand specific challenges, priorities, and needs related to flood hazards
